GEDI exists for over 30 years and is a still growing supplier of cut flowers, potted plants and related items such as bouquets and decorations.

The company was started in 1938 as a flowershop from the family van Rijn. From the Adrianastraat in Katwijk flowers and plants were freshly purchased from various growers and sold to local consumers.

In 1980 the company changed from a flowershop into a wholesale which was located in Naaldwijk.

In 2004 GEDI started supplying to various retail organizations. Since then, the organization supplies to both; retail and wholesale. The combination of these two disciplines provides a unique positioning.

GEDI daily buys directly from growers and from the clock. There is always a sufficient stock of products which is sold by using the wholesale channel. GEDI currently has 23 employees. Three of the employees directly descents from the family van Rijn, who operated the flowershop in Katwijk in 1940.
